Mark Ties is a Senior Operating Partner at FPO. Based primarily in Scottsdale, AZ while also enjoying the summers in Wayzata, MN, he joined the firm in 2025.

He has a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Minnesota – Mankato and is also a Certified Public Accountant (inactive status).

Prior to FPO, Mark was the CEO of FP-backed Perforce Software, where he led the transformation from a $50M single product company to a $600M+ multiproduct global software business. While at Perforce, Mark was a 2020 EY Entrepreneur of The Year Heartland Region Award winner. Prior to Perforce, Mark was the CFO & COO of HelpSystems (now Fortra Software), where he helped drive the business growth from ~$50M to ~$200M in revenues. Mark currently serves as the executive chairman of Perforce as well serving on the boards of BlackDuck, Sumo Logic, and Blancco.
