Greg Hughes is a Senior Operating Partner at FPO. Based in Menlo Park, he joined the firm in 2025.
Greg has a BS and MS from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and an MBA from Stanford GSB, Arjay Miller Scholar.
Prior to joining FPO, Greg was the CEO of Veritas, a global leader in data protection and other mission critical software. Prior to Veritas, Greg was the CEO of Serena Software. Greg has also held roles in investment firms HGGC and Silver Lake, leading cyber-security provider Symantec, and McKinsey & Co.
Greg currently serves on the boards of Cohesity and BlackLine.
