Francisco Partners is delighted to announce the promotions of Brian Decker and Rob Maclean to Principal, and Jonathan Murphy to Vice President effective January 1st, 2015.
Brian Decker joined Francisco Partners in 2008 as an Associate and was promoted to Vice President in 2011. Prior to joining Francisco Partners, Brian worked at McKinsey & Company in their TMT Group. Earlier in his career, Brian held a variety of product and marketing roles at Mindspeed Technologies and Skyworks Solutions. Brian holds a BASc in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an M.Eng in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University. Brian currently serves as a Director on the Board of Plex and is also involved with Healthland and Quantros. He has previously worked with former portfolio companies Grass Valley, Numonyx and Quadramed.
Rob Maclean joined Francisco Partners in 2011 as a Vice President and has been based in London throughout his time at the firm. Prior to joining Francisco Partners, Rob was an Investment Manager at Englefield Capital, where he focused on a variety of sectors. Previously, Rob was an Associate with the Technology Equity Research team at Goldman Sachs. Rob holds an M.Eng in Engineering Science from Oxford University. Rob currently serves as a Director on the Board of Kewill and was also previously involved with former portfolio company Masternaut.
Jonathan Murphy joined Francisco Partners in 2012 as an Associate and has been based in the firm's London office throughout his tenure. Prior to joining Francisco Partners, Jonathan was an Associate in the Private Equity team at the Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) across a range of sectors. Earlier in his career, Jonathan worked at Morgan Stanley with a focus on Energy and Utilities. Jonathan holds an undergraduate degree from University College Dublin where he graduated with First Class Honours.
